Do women mind chubby guys?

I've been battling my weight for about 14 years and it's not fun when you don't feel good in your own skin for that many years. Only the past 3 years have I been making a lot of progress and I'd say I'm currently as fit as I've ever been ( i51.tinypic.com/kakxox.jpg ), but I'm still chubby. lol

How do you ladies feel about chubby guys? What if you know that they're trying really hard to work out and get fit?

I have been on both sides of the skinny and chubby fence and understand how difficult the struggle is. People that don't undetrstand can sometimes base their feelings on weight unfortunately. I tend to try and connect with someone based on feelings and whether or not we get along etc. Of course you need to be attracted to someone to maintain a relationship but you can be attracted to someone's sense of humor and then their looks grow on you. I do feel that society can sometimes be more accepting of weight on guys than on girls but it doesn't feel that way when you are struggling with it. So keep up the good work. When you are happy and comfortable with who you are you will meet the right person who loves you the way you are anyway! :) Hope this helps

No! I love my boyfriends chubby. Hahah, he's got a little tummy, and I find him more attractive than ANY guy I've ever dated, and let me tell you I've dated some of those wrestling guys with the awesome six packs and huge muscles. I feel like they squashed me whenever they held me and I felt scrawny next to them, not a good feeling. My boyfriends a little on the chubby side and when he holds me I feel awesome cause it's all warm and soft, not hard. Haha, any way, everyone has different preferences, good luck (:

you look fine. I prefer guys a little chubby than too skinny because I don't want to feel like the bigger one. I mean obviously there are limits, I wouldn't want to date someone who is really unhealthy, but if you are fit, and make an effort it wouldn't bother me.

I would say I'm a really healthy chubby guy. lol I understand the limits people have though. I guess I would too, but I'm not too strict with that. There are always exceptions to my rules. ha ha Thank you for your point of view though.

Dude don't worry about it. I'm 5'10, I'm like 230, I am visibly more overweight that you. I have no problem. Some women, yeah, they won't give you the time of day regardless, but women like that aren't genuine. Confidence, sense of humor, and intelligence, all much more important than looks.

Couple nights ago I was at a bar, cracking jokes to the people I was with and people at the tables around me. Total strangers almost in tears laughing so hard. That's the kind of personality that turns heads. When I get on a roll I can have people in tears laughing.. People WANT to be around somebody like that. The more people want to be around you, the more confident you'll be, and the more attractive you'll become.

Just for the record here.. your skinny as hell If I could of been that thin at 20 I would of been totally a happy guy with myself. I doubt you battled weight issues as much as I have or what I'm currently still going through. Anyways don't say your chubby it's a insult to people like me that carry actual body fat around. No offense, but Sophomore year of High School my Doctor made me go to a specialist because I was considered obese for my height and age. As I told others, this picture might be a bit deceiving since I'm sitting down and the angle. During that time I was probably 5' 4" and weighed 205 pounds. Today, I'm 5' 10" and I weigh about 190, which yes I have slimmed down a bit, but I'm still chubby. Also I'm pretty sure my stretch marks are proof enough of a battle with weight issues. Again, no offense.

None taken, Well good job for you slimming down its not easy trust me I went from 250 lbs to 180 took close to a year but yeah I know what you mean the obese chart is crap right now says I'm supposed to not go over 210 being 6'4. I think the chart is wrong but anyways good luck to you with the girls and just remember they should like you for you inside.

You are adorable! And honestly, I would not care at all, and might actually be more comfortable.

Most girls struggle with their weight, I know I do, and having a guy who has faced similar problems would relieve a bit of the pressure to be perfect. Plus, it would be awesome to get fit togther (I, too am losing weight and getting more fit)

I would actually say, at this point in my life, that would be the perfect kind of guy for me.

lol Thank you grosa94. I agree completely with that getting fit together thought, it would be more enjoyable, but just knowing the girl I like is interested in me will give me 100x more motivation than anything else would. :D Which is my current uncertainty at the moment.

Darling, you don't need to change yourself to make her like you more. Let her get to know you- guys are mostly set on the physical, not girls. Let her know your personality, that is what she would fall in love with.

Well then I guess that makes me one of the few guys who don't like a girl based on looks. However, I do wish to change myself physically because I want to make sure I can protect the girl I like from harm. I wouldn't waste my time with a girl if I knew she didn't like me or have the slightest interest in me for who I am at the present time. =] I do appreciate your words though. Thank you.

Honestly, I try not to base my attraction to men on their looks, but weight is one thing that is important to me. I like a guy to be a healthy weight, I've tried getting over this, but it's just not possible. I like men who are in shape, sorry.

congrats on getting fit! iv only had one serious Boyfriend and he was the classic thin fit guy but he constantly made jokes about his weight like he thought he was fat and was really insecure...it made me feel like I wasn't thin enough either, I would rather be with a sweet, confident, happy chubby guy than a thinner guy who has a distorted image of himself. :)

I really wouldn't mind at all. I tend to struggle slightly with my weight (I get very self conscious about it) and I would probably feel more comfortable with someone who knew how it felt :) (You don't actually look chubby though!) As long as he is healthy and happy, then I wouldn't mind at all ! :)

u can find girls who are into all types of physicality. but if you wanna appeal to all then lose the weight. when you come home from work or school and all you wanna do is sleep, ignore the urge and go do some sit-ups. you might hate yourself the next day but the end result will be worth it.

Damn I feel like a midget now for my age. lol jk That's not as bad as other people I've seen for your height, but yes I understand it's worse than me. So far the best thing I've done to lose weight is basically lift weights, walk long distances, different types of stretches, and try to drink water until I have a craving for something more flavored, but one thing I'll never do is diet. My way is more difficult, but so far it seems to be working and hopefully I'll start it up again soon.

Nah, I'm in college too so I know how it is. It's not easy maintaining schoolwork and life at the same time. As long as I don't get stressed from classes I can start my work out soon. Otherwise I'll have to wait for the start of Summer break. Once you get time management down, you'll be fine.

No offense to you, but I was fit back when I was 6 years old. Than I battled Pneumonia that year and afterward is when I started gaining weight. During that age how was I suppose to know any better? Also it's not easy when you're dealing with other life problems and a motivational killer for many guys like me is when a girl like you looks at us in disgust and makes it obvious. Again, no offense to you because I appreciate your honest opinion and the mix of opinions is what I'm looking for. =]
