Why would a guy add you on Snapchat but then not snap you?

Randomly one day this guy from my school added me on Snapchat, he’s much more “popular” (you could say) than me and we’ve never really talked but we know of each other. He added me on Snapchat by search, but hasn’t snapped me yet and it’s been a couple weeks, nor does he watch my story (which I rarely use) I am probably over thinking this, and tbh I don’t even know if I like him (I’ve never thought about him that way before) but I can’t stop thinking about him and what it means... help!! I’m looking for any clues or ideas or advice lol to get him out of my head!

My guess from my limited exposure to snap chat and social media is he just wants to add you to the number of followers he has, i had one person who would message me every day with just a blank screen... turns out she just wanted to get her streak going as high as possible with people... people are odd... dont over think it, if he can't be bothered with you, dont bother with him
