So my friend is a straight guy, yesterday he was telling me how he tried to hook up with some girl at the bar and said she rejected him for another guy who was wearing make up. At first I thought he was kidding but then my other forms confirmed it!

I wouldn't see it as gay if a guy were to use a little like if its just some foundation to cover blemishes. Or if they just use eyeliner to look cool in a band.

But those pics? Thats a bit overboard. I mean yes its the guy's own business and he has the freedom to express himself how he wants to. But in my eyes thats too much makeup for a straight guy.

There are plenty of men who wear makeup.

What? You think Hollywood leading men like James Franco, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Rudd, etc. just walk on the set bare-faced and without going through the Make-up department? What about all the male news anchors, even talk show hosts like Jimmy Kimmel?

Let me tell you. They all wear makeup on set.

It is not the act of putting on make-up itself that makes a man "look gay". There is more nuance to this issue than one would think.

I don't think so. He has make-up on. But it's not obvious.

The difference between the two is massive, yet both are wearing make-up. It depends on the amount of make-up.

It does look weird. Weird because the parts with makeup look so feminine yet there are all of the masculine parts with it, the male body, facial hair and body hair the jawline... mixing the two together just looks freaky.
