Why do men complain about women wearing makeup?

Wearing makeup is a social custom and social etiquette. You can't go to a party bare-faced.
Not saying you wear so much makeup that you look like a different person but some to emphasize on your good features.

I personally would never date a man who tells me to stop wearing makeup. He will dumped on the spot.

They dislike the look of heavy make-up and don't understand what 'no make-up' looks like. A guy once used to go on and on at me about how he preferred how girls look with no make-up and I should stop feeling insecure without it; then the one time he saw me without make-up he immediately commented on how I looked 'tired'. Men like the look of light, natural-looking make-up, and are so used to seeing it that they assume it's actually how women naturally look

Make up doesn't make women look better in my opinion. Just makes them look artificial. Make up is only a custom because women wear it. Its a choice, not social etiquette.
