He held my hand at the cinema and then put his arm around me?

So i went on a date with a boy at the movies. It was our second movie date, the first one we had was a double date. He had his arm rested on the arm rest and probably 20 minutes into the previews he reached over and grabbed my hand and we interlocked our fingers. Out of the corner of my eye, i would see him look down at our hands. He would grip my hand and i would grip his back and it was like that every once in a while. Then after he held my hand he put his arm around me and i laid on his chest. He would caress my arm too. What does it mean when a guy interlocks his fingers with yours and then after a while puts his arm over you?
