What does it mean when a guy says you scare him?

I hooked up with this guy and it was amazing sex to say the least. Lots of passion and lots of kink. We had been flirting with each other months before our hook up and there was lots of sexual tension and then it just happened. I had a conversation with him last week and said we should play again and he said “maybe! You scare me!” And I said what? Why? And he said it a few more times and then said “no, I like it” to which I replied oh ok, good, then we parted ways. What does he mean by this? Should I move on from crushing on him?

Go back and re-read the part where he said "no, I like it". Then read it again. Maybe a third or fourth time. However many times you need to get it through your head that when he said "no, I like it", he meant "no, I like it".

Why would he say maybe to hooking up again and not yes if he was truly into it?

I dunno. I think with guys, "maybe" sometimes means "yes". I could be wrong.
