Met this guy last year we sort of hooked up but didn’t sleep together. Didn’t see him for a year bec of college. We belong to the same friend group. He texted me before we all got back from college and said we should hang. We finally hooked up and he slept over. He was very nervous though that the next morning after we hooked hooked all the way he immediately got up and left and I didn’t see him or hear from him for a whole month. He came to my birthday last weekend and we had the “talk.”
He told me he’s not good at texting and snap chat and “he was not ready for anything serious right now.” I replied “who was asking?” I know it’s a hook up. And all I expected was common decency. And he didn’t say anything.
anyway then we hooked up again this weekend and as usual he slept over but could not do it all the way bec he was exhausted and drunk as hell and coke’d out. But was lucid enough to hold a conversation. He was different though the next morning he was relaxed severely hangover and had a headache he tried to hook up again but failed. He told me again he loves falling asleep and being in bed with me.
and tells me he is going abroad for fall term for college and won’t be back until winter.
my question: when he said “he was not ready for anything right now”
Shouldn’t that kind of conversation come up when you are consistently hooking up? We hooked up all the way once, he slept over twice. We hooked up more than a couple of times without sex. I had no expectations so I was surprised when he said that.
When “he’s ready” does that mean he transitions his relationship with me to dating or does it mean it can be someone else?
Also since I was not expecting anything serious with the hook up, I was surprised when he said he was not ready for anything serious right now. Does it mean he didn’t consider it just a casual hook up and was thinking about a relationship?
Anyway we ended with him telling me last weekend he will make it up to me.
