If a guy says he, “won’t be ready for something serious yet…”?

Does this actually mean never? Or just that he wants to take things slowly?

Background: He’s been very honest and up front with me about where he’s at. And for the most part very consistent. He was vulnerable and told me he got out of a really toxic and abusive relationship and needs to work on his mindset around relationships. He also said he’s got some walls and defenses that we’ve talked about. But he said he likes me and wants to keep talking and getting to know me. We aren’t exclusive right now, although I’m starting to want to be. Unfortunately, I don’t think he’s ready quite yet to be exclusive and I don’t want to push him. I just don’t want to spin my wheels waiting for things to move forward in some capacity. So is it a never? Or not yet?

Don't impose them. Just say something like, so honey when are we getting engaged.
And being exclusive is very important otherwise you will end up being on back burner or a retreat while he gets to fuck around with every other girl

Yea I’ve been out of town for a few weeks so I didn’t feel like it was the right time to bring up exclusivity. TBH, I’m so scared to ask for exclusivity. I don't know why. I guess that he’ll say no and I’ll lose it all together. But if I lose it then it wasn’t ever going anywhere I guess. I suppose asking for exclusivity will also give me an idea about what he’s thinking and if he’s wasting my time.

Hey listen, if you are find with a polygamous relationship that's better than him being in an open relationship. You can just approve 1 other person he can meet instead of letting him meet unlimited partners

I just got back home from being out of town. We are in the middle of setting up plans to get together. So we’ll go from there :)
