Shy or confident: Which do guys prefer more?

Do guys prefer shy or confident girls? I am actually a mix of them both :3

Confident. If you’re above 20, you’re too old to be shy. We all know we aren't perfect, no good minded adult will bash you for showing it. I don't know. I just don’t have the patience for shy girls.

It’s one thing to have first date nervousness. But if it’s already been established that we like eachother and you’re still being timid it’ll get on my nerves. It’ll feel like I’m dating a little girl. I want a woman.

Any girl can be fine once I get to know them... I find confident girls give a better first impression because they're more open, though. I've chatted with a few shy girls and realized I didn't learn much about their interests or passions.

Both can be cool in the long-term.

Guys have a desire to protect their partner. Shy gives the impression that a girl needs their protection thus it is attractive. Guys also want support form their partner, someone strong enough to hold them up when they are down. This makes confidence attractive as it implies a certain amount of strength. Both are important for different reasons and a balance between both can be a very good thing.

I used to believe that I liked shy girls because I was relatively shy myself and I thought we could relate. Now I know that I'm more attracted to confident girls. They're more interesting to talk to and you don't have to force the conversation. It's always tough breaking the ice on a first date with a shy girl.

I prefer a girl in the middle of shy and confident. Your giel can't be too confident because I feel like confident can lead to cockiness which is a horrible trait, however shy girls often can't stand up for themselves in a confrontation which is a turn-off.

Doesn't matter. If I feel how I feel for someone, things like that don't come into the equation. I've dated all kinds of girls and each was different. I find not sticking to a type keeps things interesting.

A mix of both is great, it’s cute when a girl gets shy around a guy instead of being overly confident all the time. Then it’s easy to be put in the “bro zone”.
