I take it further, if i see the rail car getting filled up ill elect to stand near the door well. This way i just avoid it honestly. Some women seem to think all women deserve your seat even the young healthy ones. As already stated if you're old, pregnant, disabled you should get priority.
First come, first serve I guess. I wouldn't be bothered by it if all the seats were taken and I had to stand, I did it before while traveling. I would offer my seat to an elderly person or pregnant lady though.
i give up my seat for elderly who can barely walk, special needs, handicapped, pregnant women and moms with a baby and/or stroller. for the first 3 they are of any gender.
chivarly is dead so i do treat women like they are men. if she's an able bodied, attractive and young woman, she's not getting any special treatment from me.
I used to all the time because a woman was a woman. Now it depends on the circumstances. They way some of the woman get so nasty with certain things well she wants to act like a man then she can stand like a man. Woman are liberated today so pregnant and, mothers ands senior woman get my seat.

No, I don't. Why would I? There was a time when I would have, but those days are long gone. Women have lost the right to be treated that way.
I will give up my seat it there is an elderly person, or someone who is handicapped, injured or pregnant. But I would never give up y seat to someone simply because she is a woman.
I agree with this. I will give up my seat for the elderly, handicapped, injured, or pregnant. (Both male and female). Even, if someone is looking particularly ill or unwell, I will give up my seat. It really about need.
I'm a woman who will also give up my seat to whoever (elderly man/woman, pregnant woman, anyone who appears ill/disabled, etc.) needs it.

I don't know if I've ever been in this situation, but I wouldn't likely, no matter who it was. Why should I? Would they for me? No. And most people today would show no or very little appreciation for it even if I did (just my thoughts). A lot of people don't even say "hi" to each other anymore, never mind anything else.

If she was pregnant or something maybe. Chances are someone else would do it first though probably.
I give up my seat to about anyone. It is kind and the world needs more kindness. I also do not mind standing as I am on my feet a lot and don't like sitting in uncomfortable seats.
Hell fucking no and any guy who does is a simp fool. Women are claiming they are feminists and don’t need no man you better quit putting them on pedestals for no reason they won’t fuck you
I may give up my seat to the elderly (over 70) men and women. However, I don't wish to encourage modern women's sense of entitlement and, even more so since they are not likely to express any appreciation.
May years ago I would have given up my seat to a woman, but now it would be "sexist" perhaps even considered an "act of violence" to give a random woman a seat.
Only if they are elderly, pregnant or has a young child. Otherwise I don't even understand why a woman needs a seat more than a man, why is this even a question?
I was taught to do so but women now don't understand or appreciate it, it causes embarrassment or resentment, so no, I don't normally now. Of course, if I see a need - pregnant or medical perhaps - I'm not against it.
In the corporate world it is seen as discriminatory to "help" a pregnant woman unless she asks for help. So, fuck the pregnant women, she can stand her happy ass on the bus.
No because women are equals and that means you treat them the same as a man. I have no respect for anyone who is still chivalrous in 2020 America where women are equal and entitled to special preferential treatment because some feminist won't shut up about the patriarchy
Women want equality so bad then let them stand like they would make a guy stand

I wouldn't give up my seat NOT EVEN IF THE WOMAN WAS PREGNANT. She wanted to spread her legs lying down to get knocked up well let her spread them while standing up on the bus no real difference between horizontal and vertical anyways. And as another commenter said with all the backlash men got from the feminazi manhating cunts about manspreading fuck no i would never give up my seat especially for some preggo bitch
Damn right dude. No free favors for women, they can fend for themselves. Especially since once they got to vote in 1919 they used the opportunity to hold office, influence laws, and elect officials who would enact laws good for women but not necessarily for men or the country. Women have enough benefits and privileges at the expense of men. Now all we hear about is how men are so bad and women are awesome in the media and in left wing politics. Men are automatically defined as oppressors. Cool, then since this is the way it is no more favors. No more holding doors open for them, no more letting them go first, no more letting them have seats, no more fixing their broken stuff, no more lifting of heavy objects. Nothing. No more free rides. They can fend for themselves. All men need to take this stance and stop being exploited by sacrificing for all women who aren’t related to them or in a relationship with them. Stop doing their “duty” as men and societal obligations to the benefit of women while they take our money and kids in divorces, take our job opportunities via affirmative action, and use the feminazi political machine to persecute and disenfranchise us.
I would however probably get up for a man with 3 bullet wounds and be like you alright man, use his shirt or mine if necessary as a bandage and put pressure on the wound, possible use a belt as a tourniquet, and be like bus driver get him to the hospital now...

what is this the 1950s? feminism killed chivalry a long time ago

Sounds like you were cheated on lol

I usually do because that’s how I was taught. But the cries of feminism almost make me want to stop doing it.
So stop then.
I'm a woman who will also give up my seat to whoever (elderly man/woman, pregnant woman, anyone who appears ill/disabled, etc.) needs it.

I make a point to open doors for men who can't do it for themselves because of packages etc. I've had enough courtesies to give back.
@Screenwriter I open doors all the time also, but giving up your seat is different I think

Nope, she can stand and enjoy her equality.

No. Unless if they're old or have a disability, then no. They have functioning legs like the rest of us, stand up
Why should I?
I only do so if
-the woman is pregnant
-she has a baby in her hand
-she is injured
-she is differently abled
-she is old
Elderly or badly injured, yes.
Women want equality so bad then let them stand like they would make a guy stand

Hell yes.
Fuck that. After the man spreading complainathon, you could have 3 bullet wounds and I’d wouldn’t offer my seat.
