Do I miss him? Well we still talk and stuff but it's complicated.

Do I wish things ended differently? Yes very much

Would I ever date such an amazing boy like him again? Probably not for his own sake.

I am talking with my ex now and we still talk as if we are dating and I know he has feelings for me but I also know I don't know what I want and he is getting really frustrated and I know there will be a point where he will give up. As said before it is really complicated.

Do I think about him? Everyday A LOT

I really hate myself, because I have a guy sorry let me correct that an AMAZING guy. He has every thing I've always wanted but because there is this one barrier between us one major barrier I'm on and off with him. Also I love him but there are days I don't love him as much as I did before. But I know I love him. I really need to figure out what I want. His already getting frustrated and I need to make my final decision which will be in a few weeks time. But I do love him and I only want him to be happy and be with someone who knows what they want. His been incredibly patient with me and no matter what I do or say he still tells me he really likes me. I have been so busy to be thinking about anything but seeing I am free now I need to give the boy I love an answer. I do have an idea of how he is feeling and I'm sorry. I've know I've stumbled and messed up and this is my first real relationship and I'm trying.

Basically my ex and I started off as really good friends. We met in Europe on a school trip, so we got to hang out in awesome places and make really cool memories. When we got back home I emailed him to think him for some photos and that led to a bunch of email conversations, like constantly emailing for two weeks and hanging out at school. He asked me to go for coffee several times and then asked me out. We dated for a few weeks and then broke up, mainly I think because I am moving to go to college. He is looking at a school in the same city and he might visit me for spring break, so of course if he ever asked me out again I would say yes, if I was single.

Nope... never regret that it ended or how it ended. I just regret I let that relationship happened. I should have spent that period of time with someone better. The guy was not great guy though.

I never cared about hearing what happened to him, but social circle made me hear he's hell poor. He and his wife have to work very hard for them to keep up with the family's bills because they didn't want to continue to any higher education than when I met him and he met "her". They dodn't have that good life. He looks far older than his real age because he has to work so hard.

Yes, almost daily, but I miss who they were not who they are. Yeah, if they ended at all. Probably not, they're different now, they've gone down a darker path that I don't want to follow. I didn't exactly break up with them, neither of us really broke it off, she basically just freaked out and stopped coming around and replaced me, there was never any formal break up or acknowledgment of that. Yeah I'd contact them in a heart beat if it weren't weird or awkward, I liked who they were and we had very similar interests and ways of thinking, even outside of relationship status they were an interesting person to talk to and be around. Yeah, it's been over five years and I'm responding to this question about them, aren't I?

Well, I mean they are sort of burnt into my mind and heart I've tried getting them out of there, it just doesn't happen. I've had random nights were I just lied awake for hours worrying about them and wondering how they are doing, but that's really pretty silly I know. At this point I just wish I could undo meeting them, because I hate missing them, it's been 5 years and there's still an unhealed wound in my life where they used to fit so perfectly. I'm trying my best to move on.

You seem awfully young to be dealing with something so intenese already, but it happens.

My first real love was in high school. I left for the Navy. During boot camp, everything was okay. I went home for two weeks after boot. During the next 3 months, word got back to me that she was having sex with another guy. I got home 2 months later and confronted her. She didn't deny it when confronted.

It tore me up to pieces. It took me years to get over it. It can be the hardest break you may ever face. The one thing you have to bring yourself to understand is that you are still a good person. You need to move on. You will meet somebody else. Take whatever you can learn from your previous relationship. What worked. What didn't work. If sex was involved, perhaps you should not engage in it again and concentrate on just being friends first and get to know each other. The physical part can wait.

Just don't let it destroy you. I pretty much did for years. All wasted years.

I think about her almost every single day. We've been broken up a little over a year now and yes, I do wish things ended differently. I still love her and would want to contact her, but I know she's happy now and I guess, knowing that fact is enough for me. We had a 3 year long distance relationship and we were only able to visit each other once or twice a year since we were still in our late teens. Our love for each other was intense and how I wish it would have never ended, but i guess it happened for a reason and I saw why it had end.

I knew things had to end for us both because of the way our relationship was set up, it was really bound to fall apart. She broke up with me and managed to find a guy who lives near her. I'm just happy she's doing well and that's all I ever wished for her from the very beginning.

All I know is that I gave it my all, although, I just wished I acted a little better and more patient around her, but that is all in the past now. We each had our own mistakes and I hope we learned from it because i know I did. I've went out with a few girls and had 2 girlfriends after her but I feel detached from them, the love wasn't just there, maybe its just not the time for me to love again.

Will we ever see or talk to each other again? I would, but i know it would be better not to for the mean time, we have our own lives and I am slowly learning to accept the fact that she was the one who got away and maybe someday, somehow fate will bring us together if it was really meant to be, but until that happens, I have to keep moving forward and focus on my goals in life. Wherever you are, I just wish you are safe and just know that someone will always care for you.

It kills me everyday to love you from a distance, but this is for my own sake.

I think wow she really f***ed up. but I think she knows that. I messed up too but I was the one who was open and honest with her. Hence I have no regrets and she does.

She is now dating this goofy goof of a man. I would never f*** that dude. he's so funny looking. but that kinda makes it easier for me. Not that I don't want her to be happy, but I know she has setteled because I was not replaceable. I'm sure they get along good he is nice.

I still care about my first love, but I don't miss her. It's been something like 13 years, though, so you're probably in a very different place than me.

My first love has gone on to be covered in tattoos and now does alt-porn for a major website. So, I try to picture myself with her and just can't - we went two totally different directions in life. I'm glad she came into my life when she did, but I'm also glad we parted ways when we did. We've talked a few times over the years, but it's always kindof awkward and we don't see eye to eye on much of anything anymore. I told my first love that I do love him, and he told me that I don't know what love is. I wish that he would understand everything. I miss him like crazy, and he doesn't even care. He won't even look at me. I act like I'm angry just so he doesn't know the emotional turmoil going on inside of me. If I knew he still had feelings, though, I wouldn't get back with him. My first love I don't think I'll ever forget but I believe no one will although it has dimmed a little with time 9years. I did date him later ( OK a few time ) and at first I was shocked that it wasn't the same as the first time. (he dumped me) I don't think you can ever go back to that first love (never been hurt before) way things were. we were friends for years and I was at his wedding and divorce and he was at my wedding. We made what use to be a love in to a great friendship. we did date in high school if you want to call it that we were suddenly "together" when we wer both single yet when someone came along for one of us we were free. I believe that is why we made such good friends just being there for one another.

Nope, she wanted nothing to do with me anyway. I did tell her that I loved her and wanted to marry her, she got scared and basically ignored me. Found out she meant a guy and they were in love and started going out. Dude knocked her up and they go married at a court house. She really looked like she regretted rushing into getting married and having a kid. Maybe she should of taken things slowly with her boyfriend. She's married and seems happy with her two kids and a third child on the way. She's a nurse and her husband is a musician and plays for a church band.

My first love was too serious. Firstly never get serious so soon shr try not too fall so deep. He absolutely worshipped the ground I walked on.. Filled any full of promises.. But the thing he shr best? Brought my whole world crashing down around me! Ill not say how but I was devistated! He has since tryed countless attempts to get back with me. yeah there's always regret with that I guess and there's always that what if...but realistically for the most part guys when they are young like that going away to college or whatever-they are excited about new possibilities of being with other women just like girls.  sure hell always remember first love but most guys probably don't wanna marry their first live unless its until later in their life and they have dated others and gotten a taste of life so to speak.

I do miss him a lot sometimes, but we had a strange relationship. There wasn't really a "breaking up" point, the distance just made us drift apart.

What I really regret is that we can't even be friends. He was my best friend. If he reached out to me, nothing would make me happier than to stay in contact with him, even though I wouldn't date him now. He's still very special to me, nobody really got me like he did.

I am dating my first love again 30 years later. We are both divorced with children. We met up at a party and we have been strong ever since. It is Very Exciting, we know allot about each others past. I always regretted that we broke up and I come to find out he did also. We are so relaxed around each other from the first date. We laugh and have fun together, talk is never ending. I regretted breaking up with my first love and thought many times about trying to get back with her. But there was some uncomfortable feeling about making that attempt.
