I've seen, girls that tell the guy actually where they are going and what they are doing and who they are seeing and what they can't say and what they can and who they can say it with... When there is too much control can get exhausting after a while.

It could be well meaning and meant to be helpful but having equal freedom in the relationship is important too

Usually if he doesn't want to be with her anymore that would do it. Like if he or his SO argue a lot and get on each other's nerves a lot over dumb stuff a lot for weeks on end that could do it. And probably likewise I imagine from the girl's side also
