Are men more attracted to women with a similar hair color?

Even tho blondes get more love from men, I noticed that blond guys are more likely to be more obsessed about them.

I know three blond guys and all of them said how they would rather date an average looking blonde girl over a gorgeous brunette, while it wasn’t the case with the dark haired men. They would prefer a hot blonde over a hot brunette, but they wouldn’t go as far as preferring amy shummer over an Emily ratajkowski, the way blond men do.

Is it because men are hardwired to prefer women with a similar hair color? And please guys don’t get me with the “ I PrEFeR bRunETtEs” cause we all know that you only say that to avoid offending women, since most women are brunettes. Be honest by answering anonymously

thats really simple and scientifically explainable.

when humans seek out partners, they look for someone with enough difference in genetics to look and be different, but enough same patterns to get certain traits.

for example, in africa, a local man or a woman will prefer a black partner. thats to ensure that the children have a good trait to survive with: more melanin. same is with other useful features. for example certain bone shapes, facial structure and so on and on.

blonde hair might be a small unconscious part of it that symbolizes the existence of another useful gene in the body for another blonde person? so a person doesn't realise why, but they seek out blonde haired people because they need something behind it.

strangely every guy i date that not the same race is... blonde. literally every single one of them except two were jet black hair so not sure.

I’d say a blonde girl has to work at least ten times as hard as a brunette girl to get my attention and she really would have to be flawless to even be seen as OK looking... I don’t know where the blonde myth comes from. It’s probably from the era of black and white films where blond hair stood out more so it was preferred for movie production. Thus you ended up with a lot of blond models int hat era. For some reason it still lingers in Cosmo and dumb gossip rags like that. smh

While a lot of people are attracted to natural and maybe similar I think that I like dyed hair colour the best. I say that because I really love women who get experimental with the colour of their hair personally because it shows they can be creative which is a quality that I really like in a woman.

Truthfully I prefer redheads, but I don't care too much. It is proven that people only date and mary those with the same earlobes.
Detached or attached. Time and time again it happens. It's not planned since earlobes aren't really considered in how hot a person is, but it still happens. I had a professor who studied sexual selection and he had a whole list, I don't think hair color was considered due to the ability to change it.

I was a blonde as a kid. I dated blondes, redheads and brunettes but my favorite by far was blondes. I married one and our kids were light haired as well. It goes back to who we are as a family when growing up, it’s normal to us and our kids should have blonde hair as well is the almost subliminal thinking.
