Guys, Does he like me back if he says hit me again playfully?

So I playfully hit him and stuff and he usually says hit me again but doesn’t really do it back
is this just a different sign he likes me hitting him.

I don't know I’ve read that guys playfully hit you back if they like you.

Just sounds like it's playful on his part, just because he's not hitting you back doesn't automatically mean he don't like you. Maybe he doesn't wanna hurt you or some shit
