me and my guy friend i like only hang out with each other in a group setting and most of the time we are drunk. i’ve liked him for some time now and i’m giving him hints about liking him (i play with his hair and caress his face,…). he was never touchy before but the last two times we saw each other (while drunk) we held hands, i put my head on his shoulder and he put his head on mine and he layed his legs on mine when we were sitting next to each other. when he was really drunk, i was sitting next to him and on the other side was sitting his guy best friend, he kissed the friend on the cheek and then kissed me on the cheek and said ‘oh sorry, the kiss was supposed to x (the friend on the other side)’. and when we were saying goodbyes and hugging he smelled my perfume? and said we need to see eachother. this happened two weeks ago and since then he didn’t text me. at the hangout he also said something about my other friend, that if they weren’t friends he would want her, which kinda hurt me. i am new to dating and he gives mixed signals. what do you guys please think about this situation? does he like me back or was acting that way just because he was drunk? and should i text him? i don’t want to reach out first, i thought he would when he wanted to see me…thank you

Do what feels most comfortable for you. Nothings stopping you from reaching out first and some people would probably roll their eyes that you haven’t since you also have his number. At the same time I think it’s very telling when the guy doesn’t reach out first. They should always like you a bit more and by not saying something to you could mean he’s just not. In the times in the past where I reached out first, I found myself having to initiate everything and ultimately felt like I was chasing because I wanted reciprocated effort. When I let the guy reach out first and then matched his pace was when I was most successful.

I think you need to have some honest chat with him when there in no alcohol involved with either of you. Ask him what he wants out of the relationship and if he wants to take it to the next level.
