so i like this guy and I've know him for a long time but i switched schools, but he somehow still remembers me. we started dming and yesterday i sent one snd he replied like in 1 second, but now he still hasn't replied after 3 hours, its pretty inconsistent so I don't know IF HE LIKES ME OR NOT HELPP

Time in between texts is not enough to know whether someone likes you or not. It is fairly meaningless. He could be busy with schoolwork or family or friends or... you get the picture.

Just because he has taken some time to text back doesn't mean he likes you or doesn't like you. The context of the messages would be a much better indication of his feelings. I have found guys (in general) to not be big into texting. Take my fiancé for example. It is like pulling teeth sometimes to get him to text me back and we are getting married!

So, I wouldn't put much stake into the time in between texts and more what the messages he sends are like. Does he seem flirty? Do you have fun conversations? That is much more of an indication he likes you.

If in doubt, try to plan something together. See if he wants to meet up for a lunch or some activity. Just because you go to different schools doesn't mean you can't do something outside of school together.
