Slow responding tinder match, should I quit replying?

I matched with a guy that I have on facebook. We’ve been messaging 3-4 days about 2-3 messages a day. He’s a little slow of a replier. I see him on fb all the time but he take up to minimum 3 hours to reply but usually 7-8hrs. We’ve only talked on tinder.

i can't really tell if he’s interested or not his messages are very serious even though his bio says he’s humorous. I’ve tried flirting a little but he doesn’t really flirt back.

is he just being nice by replying? Should i give up or keep messaging? The way he talks sounds bored

He is a thing about Facebook it is really annoying when people see the green dot and automatically assume someone is online on Facebook all the time when they aren’t I have Facebook and the green dot is always showing I am online even when I’m not it shows I am online because I don’t always log out of my account and my Internet automatically connects to any wifi internet even the free wifi’s internet that is available in the shopping centres so just because you are seeing the green dot doesn’t me the person is actually online on Facebook as for expecting the guy to reply to your messages right away is absolutely ridiculous some of us have lives and we can’t be texting and messaging people 24/7 especially if we are at work

Of course i don't expect instant responses. But 7-8 hours responses all the time seems odd. and i understand facebook i dont take it too personally. But he hasn't asked to move the conversation over there or anything, and like i said i can’t tell if he’s interested or not. Or if he’s just shy

Nah doesn't sound like it's going anywhere. Just cut your losses and move on. I wouldn't respond back to one of his 8-hour long replies and call it a day.

To me it sounds like the guy isn’t escalating or leading the conversation. It’s been nearly a week and you already sound bored. The guy sold a Bill of goods saying he’s funny, but his actions don’t back up those expectations. If you are head over heels then you step up and ask for his phone number. Otherwise sounds like he’s someone to just chat passively with when you are bored.
