Does slow replies mean losing interest?

I started seeing a coworker two weeks ago. I worked with him for a couple of months but never spoke to him. He was constantly staring at me for the longest he worked there but didn’t get my number until two weeks ago. We’ve been texting consistently every week but we haven’t been working together in a while. We finally seen each other after two weeks yesterday and he talked to me the whole time we were at work and we were even texting while at work. He was texting pretty fast. Since he got off work his replies have been very slow and now since this morning they are really really slow. Like 1 to 2 hours late. He was never this slow not even at work. I know he is always on his phone because at work he has to use his phone to take pictures of his work. Should I be worried?

Has he changed the way he talks to you too? Honestly, I think it's normal for the person to start taking a long time to respond, because answering quickly ends up getting cloying and boring.

It probably just means his other hand is preoccupied with something else.
