I'm a little high maintenance but I don't consider it to be a bad thing. Yeah, it takes me a while to get ready but I make sure that I provide myself enough time to get ready for events so I'm not late to anything.

I would consider it to bad thing if the person was late to everything or only cared about how they looked.

Yes, I really like looking clean, etc, but I'm fine with being outside doing yard work and getting dirty too.

YES! It is a massive turn-off. And a f***ing pain in the arse. I "dated" this high maintenance chick for like...an hour before I got so f***ing sick and tired of hearing her talk that I wanted to tape her mouth shut. Unfortunately, I didn't have any tape on hand and it was easier to just get rid of her than going to the store to buy some.

Hell yes it's a turn off, I am the girl and that means I get to be the diva in the relationship. Guys that go into relationships with high-maintenance girls usually tend to overlook this side. They get easily confused for a beautiful girl. Some of them snap out of it but others don't hehehe.

Why is high maintenance a turn off? The effort involved with a high maintenance girl is far out of proportion with the returns. That, and I can find plenty of girls who aren't high maintenance.

To an extent, its fine. The way our society functions, for a girl to not be a least a little high maintenance is going completely against the norm.

I used to date a girl who insisted on wearing make up and doing her hair before going to the BEACH. I'm like, come on. I'm just going to throw you in the water anyway. :)
