Boyfriend follows random girls on Instagram?

So I recently saw some random girl my boyfriend was following and I asked him who it was and he said it was just a follower and he was randomly following people so he happened to follow her too and when I was like why tf u gonna follow someone u don't kno we argued about it and a few days ago I saw he unfollowed her but since they were both following each other u think they're still in touch or something because why would he just unfollow her after I showed it annoyed me and he said he doesn't even know who she is so am I assuming things or what

I dont know WHY its so hard for people to either be honest about their social media accounts these days or just give it up for a healthy relationship. I swear it's like people think they'll die without it, its annoying. Anyways, he should respect your feelings and if something is bothering you that should matter more than girls on his follow list💁
