I replied to the guy I’m seeings friends messages now and again, very rarely, not much of a convo but we aren’t exclusive and the other day he was suddenly putting in a lot of effort talking to me all the time, bringing his A game you know?

and just being so much more consistent than usual and he kept asking and asking and ASKING me not to speak to other guys.. I promised wouldn’t.
didn’t think responding to his friends casual convos every once and then mattered as he lets me speak to his other friend that used to flirt with me.
I realised suddenly my guy started ignoring me... no goodnight/morning texts which is VERY unlike him, he usually does it every night without fail. He didn’t even respond to an booty pic I sent. I asked his friend, does he know you text me? He said “Yeah he does but he doesn’t care. That I do know” ... now the friend is pursing me & saying he expects loyalty from me? I was only talking to the friend to be nice!!

If I was dating a girl and she started speaking to another dude I knew was after her, I'd take that as disrespect. I wouldn't even bother to mention to her not to speak to other dudes, because even the fact that she did it in the first place and that I had to tell her not to would be enough for me to doubt whether I could trust her, and I'd just be put off. I think that's what's happened here.

Even if your intentions were completely innocent he doesn't know that, and the shady ones always pretend like they're not up to anything anyway.

It confused me as he literally doesn’t care that me and his friend that used to like me speak.. he will be like “cool, tell my boy I said what’s up” if I mention that I seen him out.
But, I think you’re right, he kept saying he wants honesty and loyalty and if I’m entertaining anyone else to please be honest. I said no, as like I said I wasn’t romantically or sexually intending to entertain his friend. In my experience his friend should’ve known not to talk to me.
But I suppose... he probably thought there’s no need to say bc if I’m doing that then I’m not the one for him. I’ll give him space & ignore the friend. We had a lot of history, i don’t think it’s the total end.
