Are tall guys stronger when having a fight with a short guy?

In general being taller is an advantage in fighting. However if the short guy is more skilled in fighting then he can defeat a taller fighter. In fact if the taller guy is slim and the short guy is of the same weight because he’s more muscular then the shorter guy will be the stronger one. It also has a lot to do with which of them is more “game”. There’a a reason little pit bulls are used in dog-fighting, it’s not because they’re the tallest or the biggest.

You gotta remember that a street fight isn't boxing.
It's not like there's rules and a tall guy's reach is gonna be everything.
There's a lot of ways to hurt a person and the shorter guy could be stronger, tougher and crazier. He could trip the tall guy to the ground and stomp the shit out of him.

Height and reach advantage do play an advantage in a fight but it’s not the major deciding factor.


If I’m assuming no one is trained in a martial discipline such as boxing, Muay Thai, etc. it truly matters on weight and strength level more than anything.


If there was a fighting experience and martial art training then it’s a matter of percentages and who is more able to utilize their techniques even at a disadvantage.

Not always, Height can do a lot but it depends on the fighter and what type of fighting style each fighter has, like for example if your facing a street fighter vs a karate, may tui ( forgot how to spell it ) kick boxing or any serious martial arts and even judo, nawl that street fighter is more then likely gonna get his ass kick due to the fact that he may or may not know any other form than the simple punchs

1) While being taller has its advantages, it isn't necessarily better. Google "Mike Tyson" who was the most feared boxer in the world yet shorter than pretty much all his opponents.

If there's a weight difference then yes. If they're the same weight and mostly muscles then the shorter guy will usually be stronger.
Now if they were to fight and are of equal skills then the tall guy will almost always win cause the reach advantage.

It's not a matter of stronger. I take my father's advice and just try not to fight a shorter guy. They can hit faster and avoid my block or blows easier than guys my height.
It's a matter of knowing how to fight better and speed advantage.

Tall guys might have a weight advantage but a short guy if a short guy knows that fight is not all about charging at each other like a dummy then he might win it but if a tall guy knows that also then he might have advantages but in the end it comes down to who made the right moves
