Is the cat and mouse game with texting true?

I read a post that said men like a game of cat and mouse so don’t respond too quickly blah blah.

This seems exhausting and I can’t part take in it lol. I respond when I see it. Sometimes quick, other times a couple hours late. Are guys actually like this with texting?
