I was sharing a flat with my landlord, his wife didn’t live with us, as she lives at her uni accommodation but would visit during her time off, I found a nice and bigger house share so I decided to leave, the week before I was leaving, he said “wow you hands are tiny” so he put his hand next to mine to compare the size difference, he then placed his hand on top only mine to further compare the sizes, then without me even realising, he started to hold my hand and commented how soft and cute it felt to hold, I felt a bit awkward at this point as I knew he had a wife and it’s a bit weird he’s holding my hand, he then said that I looked sexy on one of my Instagram posts, I said thanks then took my hand away from his and got on with my day. I’ve moved out now but every so often he texts me and invites me over, but because of that awkward encounter, I didn’t want that to happen again as he does have a wife. I would never go there with him even if he was single anyway, so I blocked his number as I didn’t want him to text me anymore, did I do the right thing plus why would a man hold another girls hand and compliment them, if he’s married I find that really weird.
Superb Opinion
I think you did fine. A step up might be to verbally set a boundary "hey I've been feeling like you're interested in me in a way beyond friendship and I want to just let you know I'm not interested. didn't want you to waste your time."
But what you did is way better than many alternatives like telling his wife lmao.

I'd say, you did the right thing in the situation. That's creep level of "don't move out bc I have plans of you and I together" kinda situation.
