I’ve been growing my hair out since they first shut down barbers last years, just figured 2020 was The Year Of The Savage, so I just rolled with it, and I’m trying also embrace the hockey player lifestyle, so I wanted to show up with some flow when I came back. So right now, my available looks are “hockey bro with bushy hair coming out of the back of his hat” which I actually really like the look of; “put on a bandana-headband and look like whiteboy Patrick Mahomes” (surprise ending, I actually have kinda curly hair, I was shocked haha) which I enjoy to a degree but I’m under no impression that it looks at all flattering lmao; and “no hat and I have no idea what to this wild mess” which looks the absolute worst lmfao. At some point I’m going to go hockey mullet for a few weeks, and then goofy time is over and I’ll go back my usual short hair. Just wanted to rock the blonde hair shaggy for a while before I start getting gray hair, haha. Its... uh... it’s... something😂😂😂

There was a time when my hair reached the top of my butt. Many warrior cultures saw long hair as a sign of strength and power (Native American, Japanese, Celt, Norse, etc.)
The idea of long hair for women and short for men really comes from Paul's writings in the Bible. And this idea that long hair is feminine really is a modern western view, and probably a little disempowering. I shave my head now, more due to male pattern baldness (balding is a medical condition shaved is a lifestyle choice) but I've considered growing back out various locks Right now my day job is corporate, but if my own business takes off I would concider it.

Some guys with long hair seem to be trying for a feminine look and I am quite suspicious of them. But most guys with longer hair are not like that. My hair is about 4" long and very thick (like a few months overdue for a haircut) but my girlfriend said she prefers it this way. Of course, 4" does not compare to the guy in the picture on this post.

I loathe long hair on men.
Long hair is not masculine and will get a man killed in a fight, because it gives an enemy something to grab.
That is why it is common for Japanese and Chinese masters to shave their heads.
For Christians, there is also a Biblical (Old Testament) prohibition on long hair on men.
That is why Renaissance and later depictions of Jesus as a long-haired hippy could not be more wrong.

I tried both, short is so much easier to manage. Long is nice when it long enough to curl on its own. Haven't gone longer than shoulder length.
