If a guy says that he is okay, does it really mean that he’s okay?

I texted my guy friend to see how’s he doing and after 12 hours of waiting he replied that he is okay. I asked if there’s something wrong and if he needs to talk, and he just ignored me again until now. I am worried about him and confused if he is fine or if he’s hiding something or just doesn’t want to talk at all.

Two things can happen, where he doesn’t give a shit about the conversation u n him has n he is trying to turn u off orrrr he really does have a problem, so i wld say it all depends cause sometimes guys do that to make u go away orrr yeah the other option

Saying 'okay' can often be a way of avoiding discussing what's really going on and that he doesn't really want to trouble anyone with it. If he's been saying it for a while the problem may have gotten to the point where is has snowballed and is too much for him to admit.

Never ask a question that is so easily dismissed if you're really concerned about him.
Ask him specific questions that aren't answered with one syllable words.

What I meant is whenever I ask him anything any time he keeps saying ( okay, good day, bad day, fine, i am very busy). Sometimes I wait for his replay for a whole day to only answer with one word before ignoring me again. Well he doesn't even work or study, he doesn’t do anything but I don’t know why is this sudden treatment. 🤔

Pro tip: Asking a guy if he is "okay" is extremely risky! We know that regardless of our answer, more questions will follow. If you ask more than once, don't expect a positive response. DON'T DO IT.

Yeah, saying "im okay" or "im fine" almost always means the exact opposite..
Personally when/if i just reply with "im okay" im probably an emotional wreck.
