When you ask a guy if he's okay and he replies with "yeah" is he really okay?
because today my crush came into class
and put his hands over his face and like looked
frustrated/sad and I was like are you okay? And he's like "yeah" in a sad voice. And I'm just worried about him and I want him to know that I'm there for him if he ever needs to talk because he NEVER acts like this and its worrying me.

Well, of course he's not OK. He's lying to your face (a note though, this kind of lie is acceptable unless you two are married).
I would follow up with what happened tomorrow. Ask him if he is doing better, or something like that. Despite what many will tell you, guys have feelings too, and we like it when our girlfriends are sensitive to them.
And for future reference, always follow up with at least two "are you sure" questions. This will either get him angry enough to get you to stop badgering him, but not so bad that he hates you, or it will get him to open up.
If you can find some other way to talk to him, not just in class, do it.
Well not to be an ass or anything. You think everything is okay? My mans comes in crying to class. I don't think there is anything okay about that. I wouldn't push it with him, like tomorrow maybe say "What was the matter, you seemed upset yesterday."
Yeah, well he usually is pretty good about telling me what is wrong but I think the thing was there was a lot of people around and another thing is this annoying girl sits between us and right after I asked him what was wrong she was like YEAH WHATS WRONG!
When we say that, what we really mean is, "Now is not a good time to talk about it. Now, please take my mind off the issue."
