(I posted this question already, but I deleted it because I felt I didn't word it as well as I'd hoped. This is just a revised version of it, and I hope I explained myself better.)
When I say "stocky" to describe a person, I mean someone with a broad and pudgy body, but also having some strong muscle under all that fat. I'm not talking about people who are just plain fat/obese or really muscular. (The examples below aren't real people, but I still wanted to show good examples of the body type I'm describing.)Fanart of Heavy and his sister Yana from the Team Fortress 2 webcomics. And also the Medic.So by stocky women, I basically mean a big curvy woman (thicc if we're going that far) except more solid; not as soft.
Soft stomach, thick waist and limbs, likely average breast size. Maybe broad shoulders. But underneath those soft layers of fat, she's got some nice muscle. She could probably throw a mean punch, wrestle with you, or lift something heavy.

So, to the guys on here, what are your thoughts on women with stocky builds? In fact, women, feel free to comment as well!
I have nothing against them but don't consider them to be sexual objects, The idea of physically embracing them is not something that sounds pleasant to me. I like the very petite female form. Very few women I have seen are "too skinny". I'm sure many women feel the same way about the older man in a speedo. It's your right to have a choice and nothing to feel bad about.
This type of body is, in my opinion, the ideal body type. There's thickness which means there's more to hug but she's also got muscle which means she's healthy and works out. Its a nice balance of chub and muscle that doesn't fall into the pitfalls that either have on their own. Too muscular and you risk losing the softness, too chubby and you risk losing the healthiness. What you talked about is that perfect in-between.
Stocky is kind of a mix BETWEEN curvy and muscular (for women). I made that clear in the question. I assume your wife is just soft, not kind of solid as well.
History says I prefer it I like roughousing it's nice to have a partner who does and can too. One girl I dated did wrestling in highschool but she was kinda a dick about it sometimes too
Well basixally yeah. Big curvy solid can wrestle isn't super specific though she definitely fits. My 1st was also solid but little less curvy little less big.
