My boyfriend is being distant?

We’ve been together nearly 3 years and he used to text all the time and FaceTime or call me at least every other day.

Recently he’s started studying and I know that takes a lot of time and focus but he just seems very distant from me now. He says he doesn’t check his phone much anymore and he prefers to call but doesn’t call some days (I take it down to his studies he has a huge assignment due soon) and I asked him if we’re ok and everything and he said we were.

he recently told me I’m a bit clingy and he likes space so I’m trying to be less clingy and I’m doing quite well. Do you think it’s just his studies making him distant?

When guys are busy and stressed, the first thing to suffer is the relationship. This is because he doesn’t want to put any of his negative and stressed energy on the person he cares about most. That said, I don’t think he’s doing a very good job communicating that to you. There is nothing wrong with asking for a little reassurance from him, I think. Also, please give him some support too. You can say something like, “I know you’re having a hard time right now. I see you. Let me know how I can be supportive to you, and know that I’m always here to listen.”

I want to help him but I’m not sure how because I can’t do his assignment for him and I know his love language is acts of service

He won’t want you to do his assignment for him lol. Bring him snacks and water, offer water and a listening ear. That’s all you can do in my opinion

Just wait for after his assignments if he's fully there for u non stop then it probably just was his studying. and if he's still busy then u should ask what is taking the time

It's too early to worry only worry if after the assignments he's still busy with no good excuse

Pressure on guys can affect relationships, just be there for him in his studies, and afterwards everything should be fine.
