So cuddle him back. Stop expecting things from people you don't do yourself. You want a hug go give him one and you got what you wanted. He are more likely to give you things you give him. So if he feels distant it's probably because you act distant to him.

I assumed as much. It appears when people reach the 8 month mark they start to really evaluate if the relationship should be permanent or if they should try someone new. I don't know why this happens but it's probably attention span mostly.
