This guy, I am not sure how much he cared, but I later found out he was in a relationship.

I think that’s why he is avoiding me.

I had intended on staying friends with him but now I’m wondering if I should forget him.

It depends on how strong the attraction is. Before I met my girlfriend I had quite a few female friends and those friendships fizzled out. I did forget about them. I was attracted to them, and they knew it because I just tell it how it is, but the feelings weren’t that strong that I was “in love” with them or anything. If thats what it is he’ll be more focused on his girlfriend.
