What do you think it means? I dunno how old she is or how much experienced, for that matter, but women are naturally more intuitive than men (men tend to be more logically/humorly gifted) and we pick up on things like semantics a lot more. Guys tend to not realize they are not as simple as they come across, especially in terms of language. Lots of guys are worried they might offend a women so they try and say things they don't mean. Dunno if this is what she feels in her gut. But he also may be saying she is cute because he genuinely thinks so. Guys also don't use the term cute the same way. I have even seen men argue about when the term should be used. Some think it means pretty in adorable way/dainty features, some use the word to say it means average looking. Some guys call every girl cute, no matter what. Others only use the word cute to say that she's more than just beautiful (a rarity in my book).
