It would depend on the guy, if he actually didn't know if the woman was taken and he is man with self respect then yes he will back down and leave the woman alone once he knows she is taken. If the guy is genuine and in this case innocent then yes such a guy will surely back off.

However, if the guy has not so good intentions, is perverted by nature, flirty then he may try to make moves on that woman irrespective of her relationship status.

Hence it would depend on the guy his mentality, attitude.

I won't say never but it is a two fold issue with me. I say I am married to another woman which should end the conversation there, but that only seems to make it worse. Suddenly I am expected to answer additional questions about whether or not I have ever been with a guy and asked if I have ever considered a threesome with a guy.

I dont feel like straight women would probably get asked those things, but I am sure they also get follow ups about if her partner satisfies her or something.
