How would you feel if your significant other made significantly more money than you? How would it effect who pays for things?

I make a $115,000 salary which is almost double what my boyfriend makes. Sometimes I wonder how he feels about it, since stereotypically the man used to be considered the breadwinner.

As long as I know I'm financially stable and can live comfortably even without them I don't think people would mind.
Taking home around $50,000 by yourself with no kids to take care of is pretty good depending on your location.
Making half your salary shouldn't be anything he should be ashamed.
And you could always ask him.

I used to make five times what my girlfriend did but she worked hard, changed professions and went to another company. I still make two times what she makes but it is nice that she is busier now and can pay for more stuff as well

Consider yourself lucky. I don't think I've ever dated a woman who made half of what I make.
