Guy I am seeing said he will go home with another girl?

There is a guy I dated for 6 months some time ago, he was my boyfriend. We started hanging out again because we are good friends and talk really good together and make fun and we have our insider jokes.

I have a child that he has seen, but I introduced him as a friend not a boyfriend. He also sometimes came over night but went before my child would wake up.

Now he asked me to come over and have sex. I said no, because it has been awhile since my child has seen him and my child wakes up at night so I don’t want to do it like this if I am bringing him inside my life, home, while my kid is around.

To that he said okay, so I am going with someone else and then he said bye see you tomorrow (I am going for his birthday party). I know he talks and how we can joke. But he sounded semi angry/dissapointed/sad/surprised and I feel sad and like I don’t actually want to go tomorrow. He is really kind otherwise and easy to talk to and not judgmental, but if he can’t respect my boundaries and say he will go with another girl (even if he might be half joking) I feel it isn’t worth it. What do you think?

First off, I think it’s great you’re putting your child first. Setting the right example is fuckin crucial. As far as your friend goes, he sounds kinda petty. I’d tell him his strange behavior just assures you that you made the right choice not to start sleeping with him again, since he’s lacking in the maturity department.
