Even without the knife stuff you see it a lot over here,

a girl minding her own business walking down gets called by a guy or group, she does not respond, a guy walks over and puts his hand on her to ask she she has not responded. .

In the summer in Cambridge that was really common and it was usually against young students by non locals.

Birmingham even worse, there you are likely to get slashed, you know it is shit when 2 guys need to walk one girl to train station as 1 guy on his own is not enough…

I am a bit of a pessimist on this, sexual assault has been in human history forever and will be there in the far future as well.

There is no way to prevent this but we can reduce it's frequency and make sure women have the tools to protect themselves at all times.

But don't get me wrong i am not saying that a problem we men are causing should be solved by women, it's just that even in the country's with the least rape we are still talking about hundreds of victims a YEAR so it is just smart to arm and defend yourselves properly.
