Do some guys just not compliment their girl’s looks? Like they purposely reserve giving compliments on looks?

I’ve had this with several guys I’ve dated, and they’ve all ended up being very insecure men... I’m not sure if that’s why? Or if it’s just something men don’t think about? Or don’t want to do? But I have random men hyping me up and complimenting me way more often than any of the guys I’ve actually dated. It’s as if they purposely don’t? I don’t need the compliments but it’s nice to hear from your SO... like that they’re attracted to me... it’s nice to hear if they like my hair, my eyes, etc. it’s romantic to me. I had one ex tell me he wasn’t going to give me any compliments because he has seen how many I receive online and I must know I’m very pretty so he won’t even bother. I brushed this off at the time but now I have found it’s a common occurrence with men I date. Or like they won’t like my selfies I post (I don’t post many). I’ll offer them compliments and treat them how I want to but they don’t return it or ignore me.

Anyways, just wondering where guys stand on complimenting women’s looks with women they’re dating.

I don't know where you're from, but sadly, too many western girls don't know how to accept a compliment.

South American or east European girls love to hear guys compliment how nice they look or who lovely their hair is. Latin American girls really enjoy compliments about their hair, which is usually long and dark and straight, and has a sheen to it.

These girls enjoy being complimented. As for American girls? a guy runs a risk of actually insulting them with his compliments.

I'm only relaying my personal experiences. Your mileage may vary.

Foreign women honestly appreciate guys noticing the time and effort they spent making themselves look attractive. Hair is a very big deal, so complimenting a women's hair will (or should) gain a guy high points, although in America this may not be the case. A lot of American women are convinced that American guys are full of shit and that we will anything just to get them into bed. This is why compliments aren't always appreciated.

Personally I only give compliments when I think they’re deserved. I generally don’t compliment natural attractiveness cuz they did nothing to deserve it. I’ll compliment make up if it’s well done or if you change your hair up or if I really like your nails but that’s about it and those only happen once every couple weeks

Well I mean technically some people have gotten plastic surgery maybe they do deserve look compliments

I dont like to compliment women too much, I don't want them to think im with them just for physical stuff, besides girls dont compliment men that much so why should IIt could also be because im shy and when I try to compliment them it comes out weird, not in a natural way haha and they get shy after it, dont know if thats a bad sign

MANY men out there literally never receive any compliments at all, especially from women (I am one of those guys), so I don't think men are "withholding compliments" from women or playing these female mind games you speak of.
