4.9K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Men like to be described with masculine terms (cute generally isn't a good choice, for this reason), but they also what the terms to be how you genuinely feel. If you call a guy sexy when you don't actually think he's sexy (like, say, Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie used to do on their reality show), or handsome when you don't think he's handsome, then he's going to feel insulted.
I think all of those terms are fine, and desirable for men to hear if you are sincere.10 Reply

For anyone call me handsome i get angry I don't know why it seems weird but i feel it stupid complement ( hey handsome ) i feel ok so what? Handsome or ugly I don't like people categorize me by my outlook without knowing me deeply... It's the same like ( sorry ) after someone hit u by a big thing hurt your feeling or break you and say sorry it feels like useless i used to ask them do you really feel sorry or just a world to fill the empty space.. i believe we're human we need to communicate smarter together with empty complaints or complements , the more you honest the more u will look really good and popular even without reason this is what i really call it ( totally beautiful ) being simple , grounded , honest , talking less but effective , help without waiting anyone to thank you but only for the sake of god. I never wait people fake useless complements i always look for god satisfaction and self satisfaction and to put my head on pillow when my conscience totally comfortable not by feeling handsome.

+1 yComing from the modern woman I prefer “Hey you arsehole” as that is the only form of expression that is honest anymore. Anything that deviates much from that I put in little stock. The scripted woman is a dangerous creature that is in search-and-destroy mode. A compliment from a woman with an objective will cost you your soul eventually. I have reached the point that she had better be only all action because when she opens her mouth, it is usually over. The best thing that a woman can do anymore is just action and no speech whatsoever. I don’t want to know anything that is going through her head. Just push me over and speak with actions.
10 Reply558 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. I prefer handsome over anything else.
I'm not hot or shredded. My body fat is higher than it should be and stored mostly round my waist, so neither describe me.
I dislike the term sexy.
But I can live with handsome. Just not sure it's accurate lol10 Reply
+1 yDefinitely handsome is my most prefer but being describe as sexy is also a great complement.

10 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Well you forgot one the one you forgot is daddy LOL to be honest I get called any one of those probably at least once a week and I really I get embarrassed. So they don't have to call me anything. Just call me Steve I'm fine with that

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yDefinitely handsome. Sexy and hot are more of a bedroom specific thing, it's cool but it's more sexual. Cute tells me you see me like a little kid or a brother or some shit, not cool. Gorgeous is good for some guys but I think it fits more for feminine men, handsome typically makes me feel good about myself but not in a childish way or sexual way. More of just a general good feeling which is really nice

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIf it's my partner, hot or sexy. But it has to be genuine whatever it is. We guys (generally speaking) get very few compliments ever, so while it's nice to get them, because I get so few of them, I tend not to take them seriously, so it must be genuine.

+1 yEvery time I've called a boy pretty, for some reason it's always hurt their manly egos and they've said that they're handsome, so I'm gonna guess handsome 😂

@harmseygracelu lmao, pretty boy would definitely trigger a lot lol. Personally it’s name or I suspect they are taking the piss lol. That or simply ‘you’re fun’ etc

I feel like handsome is a cop out. My grandma and relatives call me handsome. I don't want some girl I'm interested in using that to describe me. Sure it's still nice, but I'd much rather be called sexy or hot by a woman I am interested in.

+1 yI found that out of all the compliments I use on guys ever, they respond better to words like handsome or gorgeous which surprises me because they are more traditional compliments, I expected sexy to be the winning describer lol.
10 ReplyI get called nice. I also would like to be called papi since since Hispanic woman is what I attract. Most are Mature age 25- 40’s. I wouldn’t have it any other way

Generally, men like to be called by any masculine term, however when I make the effort to show up on a date, I like it if it's noticed and appreciated. But it's rare for women to compliment men.
10 ReplyI dont mind any of those but tbh handsome is like the most overused and generic one of those in my opinion
10 ReplyHonestly, all of these are cringe to me if I heard any girl say that to me, I would pause and think in my head "wtf did you just say"
10 ReplyAt my age none of the other choices really apply. If i could add a choice more than anything i like to be called a gentleman
10 ReplyI like to get called fine I think it’s a catch all plus I have feminine features and I prefer to not be called pretty

+1 yHandsome seems to be a safe and fairly neutral option. Sexy or hot seems a bit more directly flirtatious. Like, i could picture my mum saying I'm handsome, but if she called me hot I'd be having some serious concerns 😂😂

It depends on what mood one is at that time. Mood variations is also a factor here. Personally I don't like to be called cute or something feminine rest is fine.

Updating this, I far more prefer that my personality side of things gets a mention than my physical appearance. Even if it’s negative or positive.
If someone gives me praise on appearance, I automatically look for them taking the piss, often feel a bit defensive to a positive comment.
My personality or lack of, I have more control, over and defines me more as a person.
