Do high school guys like compliments?

If so, what kind of compliments should I give them? I’m feeling courageous.

Guys need compliments more than anything and that is the one thing they don't receive. There are many who are mentally tensed about their skin, height, age, habits, dressing. Getting a compliment from a girl goes a long way. Just say something nice like:
-You look handsome today
-You have a nice smile
-You have a nice physique
-You smell good
-Those are nice shoes
-Your are quite well mannered
-Your art/work/voice/hairstyle is amazing

There is another way of complimenting them as well to make them feel more mature and masculine:
-You must be a family man
-You look like you've been through a lot
-It seems like you observe things quite a lot
-You look like you care about your fitness
-You must have a lot of girls
