Absolutely.
It's cool when you do something and your friends say "Dude, that was awesome!"
Or when I was playing in bands and people were genuinely impressed.
When I receive those kinds of compliments, it fills me with self confidence and courage to do things that even I didn't think I was capable of before. It has happened to me lots of times for a wide variety of reasons.

When a girl gives me a genuine compliment, I feel feet tall. I love being admired by a woman whom I admire. It makes me feel like a man and I want to strive to be the best I can be.

One funny story was after the first date with my future wife. We had such a wonderful time chatting that we shut the restaurant down. We walked out to our cars in the parking lot and continued to chat for a while.

When we were finally ready to leave, we found that someone had locked the parking lot gate. So I hopped over the 6' cinder block wall and fetched a restaurant employee to let us out.

I didn't think it was a big deal at all. But when she related the story later to her friends, it was obvious that she thought I was a super hero who could leap tall buildings with a single bound. I had rescued her. LOL

They sure do! Guys like compliments just like girls like compliments. They like it just as much... and they like it in the exact same way.

(so of course, in the same way as TOO MANY compliments from a guy... starts to be a turn-off... same possibility. But you know what I mean by "too many". Most people aren't going to have to worry about giving "too many")

Like 🙄. Who doesn’t? Guys will be shocked tho if you pay them a compliment coz they’re used to giving out compliments not getting them. So yes 🙌 ofc guys like to be complimented. Make their day! Say hi handsome, how are you doing today! 🥰 Wow you are such a gentleman! Etc

A GENUINE honest compliment is ALWAYS appropriate and appreciated. However, those doing the complimenting expose their OWN vulnerability as to what they find to be attractive... and many women find THAT level of genuine honesty uncomfortable.

Yes but we are bit nonplussed when it happens as it doesn't happen often. I know when women I'm acquainted with compliment me on looking good today they mean I am looking better than my normal scruffy usual self.

I guy can be suicidal and walking to a bridge to jump and a girl can simply smile at him and it would change his entire outlook on life.
So yes, when girls complement us… it actually goes a hell of a lot further than when women het compliments because it happens for you so often you almost don’t even notice it anymore, we never hear it.
