What does it mean if Asian guys stares at black woman?

Some black women are the opposite so there's a culture clash there.

Most Asian men don't like dark skinned women. Just their country's beauty standards. They're not used to it

Where I'm from in Asia (Japan), it is considered rude to stare or even make eye contact for prolonged periods. But I think some black women are very attractive so I might glance a bit like 100 times.

As for not approaching and striking up a convo, I would if I were single and younger. But I'm not pure Asian, only half, and notorious in my social group for being a lot bolder than most of my Asian friends (and my Asian friends aren't just Japanese). Lots of Asian cultures are kind of shy about approaching. Maybe that's why he didn't approach. Maybe he was just looking, like me now that I'm married.
