Why do guys come back shortly after they ended things?

There is a lot of reasons as anybody may do, not just guys or girls:

1. They just wanted to blow off steam, and assuming it was a good idea at the time. Not realizing they can't be without you. <-- not always guaranteed.
2. They figure that there is somebody else better out there, and they yet to have somebody lined up at the time.
3. If they DID have somebody lined up, obviously they more and likely could have cheated, or was influenced enough. That didn't end well or wasn't as what they assumed, so once again, they figure you were better. Obviously it is too late.
4. If you already left the line open, they will come back because they know you still have feelings for them. They may not exactly want you back, but they will take advantage of you in other ways. Sex, money, etc.
5. They realized they made a big mistake and wanted to see if you would take them back.
6. When the options run low, as another have pointed out, they calculate that you would be the person that has to take them back because you "still love them".

This is why you have to guard your heart and mind at all TIMES. Expect the unexpected in life. No matter what anybody says, there is a reason why things happen. And all you can do is learn from it and be more aware of your choices.

Those guys that do that are you guys that all of a sudden meet this very hot beautiful chick. And they think they're all that and they just got themselves a new girlfriend so they go break it off with her old girlfriend that would be you get together with this chick and within one day she knows exactly who the guy is and what he's all about and she says see ya.
