There might be exceptions but i find this as a general rule.

Why can't some guys just simply say you look beautiful these days. Especially if a women not dressed in seductive clothing. I just find it to be more respectful.

I think it might be because they are just selfish and calling us sexy reveals that to us. It helps us and saves us.

Selfish people are full of lust. They want the most they can dream of getting from us for little to no reciprocation. Calling us sexy is a method that they probably learned after a while can brainwash us into the role of a whore who would have sex with them.
