It's the north/polar regions vs the tropics... and the obsession with bright skin/eyes - by those who fry theirs under the sunrays (which they can either start to appreciate - or stop doing/no one is forced to stare at le soleil (people do it to self injure to then seek chomage/disability pension and do nothing))
