You have to remember for most people 99.9% it is just pure hormones, emotions, and maybe lusts depending on the person. That's it. Attraction is just that, attraction. It doesn't always mean anything, and if you're expecting a lot you may end up very disappointed. How long he likes her is depending on the guy no different it is for you or even me or any other woman. Buta gain, if he doesn't truly know you, know you like: close friends, childhood friends, somebody he grew up within the church, etc. 9/10x, it just looks, maybe personality, or rumors about you that make you attractive to him But that usually doesn't last long. Plus, if he isn't pursuing you himself, it doesn't mean anything. If he is waiting for you to chase him, it may not be a good idea, but that is your personal decision if you want to get men that way. I personally wouldn't because I know real love isn't that. If anything, I seek and prefer the real thing, nothing fake and temporary such as what you're asking.

Now to answer what is the most common reasons why he stops liking you?

1. He saw you weren't interested because you didn't flirt with him, ask him out, decide to talk to him, etc. The most common reason most women stop chasing or liking the guy. He wants you to do his job as a man, making the "move".

2. He heard rumors about you that may or may not be true, such as you slept with so and so, or that you have a bad reputation. That is obviously enough to make anyone wary. So make sure you don't have that kind of reputation spreading around. You may say it's no one's business. In a way that is true. HOWEVER, If you like him, and he likes you, it is VERY MUCH his business. I remembered to stop crushing on a guy because I heard things just that. He cheated on his ex-girlfriend, I listen to my gut, and he was sexually active. As a virgin, a sexually active man was a big NO-NO for me. No matter how much I may have "liked" him, I listen to reality here. My morals mean more to me. If you want a successful relationship or the highest chance of success, date people with who you are already compatible. Not those you try to force compatibility with.

3. He notices personality traits that are not compatible with him or starting to not like. For example. If you go by MBTI, some thinkers may not be interested in feeler types, especially if they see you clingy or can't meet their mental level. For feelers, some of us desire other feelers who understand us emphatically. While some like me who are feeling intellectuals value both feeling and thinking. For me, I cannot be with a person who feels too emotionally unresponsive or distant, unless they're struggling with depression. Nor can I be with a highly emotional person, who may not have emotional regulation. Or doesn't take life seriously. There is a fine line between being a kid at heart versus just acting like a clown just to not care about how his behavior may affect others. Basically, the ones who think there aren't any consequences. Pretty much like this: Inconsiderate, Narcissism, Wildness, etc. Or even good traits like Kindness, Compassion, etc could also turn a guy off. Simply put, don't take interest in somebody who doesn't respect you. Unless you have a lot of changes that need to be done, learn to appreciate what makes you uniquely like.

4. Friends and family don't approve.

5. Your values, standards, etc don't match or line up.

6. He is either very insecure or perhaps thinks your seeing other men or have interests in other men.

There could be a variety of reasons. But no matter what. If that person only brings you pain and disappointment, mostly negative feelings because of that. Avoid them. That's what I had to do.

I never really stopped liking a girl. I currently have this huge crush on this girl at work and every time i see her i freeze and my hearts starts beating fast. I have said hi to her a couple times but im afraid of asking her out because im not exactly that great looking and i am a little bit overwieght so im afraid she will reject me. But it really hurts because i literally get butterflies in my stomach when i see her. But to answer your question i usually don't really stop liking a girl i just try to avoid them because i think there too good for me.

If he finds a partner he'll usually stop looking for one. Most guys will like a girl until you give him a reason not to. Reasons a guy would stop liking a girl would just be he's found some one or he found something out about your personality he isn't as for, maybe you like sports a lot but he's a gamer, maybe he has a cat but finds out your allergic. As long as your a kind to guys they will usually not dismiss you with out a reason.

I don't know for everyone, but quite a lot of the time for people I talk to it’s either they realised it’s not worth the pain of trying for no reason or because something happened between them that made them see the girl differently.
