He has been ignoring but active on social media? Why?

So my boyfriend and I have stopped having sex because of a pregnancy scare. He says it scared him so bad he doesn’t want to have sex for a couple of days and that we’ll just hangout and talk on the phone for now. But he hasn’t been doing either and has been ignoring me but has been active on his social media accounts. He has been on social media and he’s never been a social media person.
He has been ignoring but active on social media? Why?
