I kinda been noticing this trend lately about the discussion of men and boys wearing traditional feminine clothing like a dress, and I been wondering what is your guys and girls opinions on such the matter. My fellow men would you consider wearing a dress and women how would you feel if you dated a guy who told you he likes wearing dresses? Me personally I have no problems if others men would want to wear something like a dress but I ain't the type of guy who actually wants to wear a dress. I am a bit traditional in the sense that I prefer wearing suits while I am attracted to women who wears dresses but how about you men and women out there what do you think about today guys who chooses to dress up in a lady's dress?

I'm straight, and I really don't care what other men wear, but as a guy, I can explain why I won't wear dresses, so I'm gonna look at this from an artist's perspective on character creation aesthetics.
Put a triangle inside a smaller triangle, have the edges be close but not touching, so it looks like a frame.
Next put a triangle on top of another triangle, with the top one being upsidedown.
Next put a triangle partially inside a circle, with the bottom half of the triangle hanging out a lot on the outside if the circle, and the triangle being much larger than the circle.
Which one looks nicer? The first is form fitting, so it looks good, the second is even, so it looks good, but the third is uneven and mishapen, so it looks off.
A dress is long at the bottom and gets wider as it does down, so it looks best with a wide but downward angled chest (big boobs), and long, wide, volumous hair at the top hanging past the shoulders, to even it out. The shorter the dress, the less upper volume is needed, so a bobcut looks good with a skirt still, provided the person is petite.
Women's shapes simply compliment the clothing's shape better.
The triangle frame would be naked or in form fitting clothing, that works for either gender. The opposing triangles is a woman in a dress, and the triangle sloppily hanging out of the circle is a guy in a dress.
Now exceptions exist. Lets take the Vin Deasle pic you posted, that skirt wouldn't look as awkward if there was also a cape, a helmet, big shoulder pauldrons, and armored greaves, gauntlets, and a chestplate mixed in.
Alternatively, if you add a robe over the longer dress or skirt, it's now the equivilent of jedi robes or samurai kimono, both of which look ok.
But the pics you posted as they are, just look weird, in the same way those arm floaties or a duck innertube on people who can't swim wear looks weird.

i must admit I am a fan of the Scottish kilt however. If that became a thing, I wouldn’t oppose. tried it in Scotland with a few buddies and was kinda cool.
I can imagine a scottish kilt although I have no intention of wearing it myself but I can't imagine wearing a pink dress but I am glad that everyone is starting to feel more their true self doesn't mean I have to wear one.
The one Vin Diesel is wearing is a kilt, not a skirt, although a lot of people would see no difference. I could look past it if it was a kilt he was wearing but the skirts would be a definite deal breaker for me.

That actually looks funny but also adorable though. I don't know why but there is something adorable when a young kid wear a dress but a full grown men is entirely different but I must admit their are some guys who did pulled it off. And I can understand why some would be pro men wearing dresses while others would have a problem with the thought of men wearing dresses.
If it stops being seen as feminine, maybe I would wear a dress. Because it's really not feminine it's just clothes, and I think they can look good on men. But I've never liked them much because all the ones I've seen are made for women to be feminine.
I just mean "dresses" as a type of clothes. Being a dress doesn't make it feminine. Being designed for a woman's body and style makes it feminine. Like a tshirt could be masculine or feminine, depending how it's made. So could dresses, just nobody really makes masculine ones. If they did and I saw one somewhere, sure maybe I'd but it. That's all.
In principle, considering the huge quantity of people wearing the clothes attributed to their gender, but having no taste, why should some men not chose women's dresses? Their choice, and not up to me to judge.
Now, take for instance the first picture with the nice guy in that very nice yellow dress. Something is completely wrong, not only because it's a guy, but because that particular dress has been clearly designed for a person with breasts... A shemale would really appear fine, but a regular guy... No, something doesn't fit.
The black guy in the third picture looks better. Maybe because the dress is also nice and the guy maybe gay (not sure by the way). His chest is not visible, but probably same problem as previously mentioned: the dress being made for persons with breasts. Still, there's some harmony.
I don't like at all the three other pictures. They seem to me proof of very bad taste. No offense meant.
The funny thing about that statement is originally most of women's clothing were designed originally for guys only but like modern women they took men's clothing started wearing it n like or loved it then it became a trend n then eventually made their own so any guy that wears clothing like that is just going back to their original look n roots regardless of what anyone says
I wish people would stop trying to feminine men and destroy masculinity under the guise of "progress." Even in 2021, it's still okay to say wearing a dress, is f*cking GAY! Like, if you're super queer and flaming, then go for it. Otherwise, no. You get no respect as a man willingly wearing a dress, unless MAYBE you're an actor. I'm not one to fall for turning men into pussies and calling it "progressive" and "inclusive."
It's just a piece of clothing so we should get rid of the stereotype that just gay men/trans women wear skirts. Skirts on men don't necessarily turn me on but I also wear sometimes baggy clothing and it doesn't turn most men on but I don't care because I like it. Who the heck cares let people wear what they want.
It not because it's a stereotype it mostly the fact that it is labeled as a feminine article of some sort plus there aren't really a masculine version of the skirt besides kilt. But I don't mind if other men want to wear them but it not for me.
Vin Diesel too? I didn't know he was into that sort of thing. Anyway, no, I do NOT want to see this silly fashion trend catch on and become mainstream. It's ridiculous. Do they wear bras under those dresses? If they do then they should know that men don't have boobs, and that's one of the reasons why we have "men's clothing" and "women's clothing". Because, you know, men and women are DIFFERENT.

Dresses used to be made for men (back in the 14th century) of course times have changed, but i don’t see why everyone’s so mad over people wearing clothing that was intended for them at origination. It’s on their body, not yours why does it matter? Do I find it attractive? No, not really. But do I care enough to “throw up”? No. Lol y’all are acting so silly.
I have several summer dresses that I use as pyjamas. I prefer dresses to pants and it sucks that mem can't wear women's clothing because there's a lot of nice clothes
I think overly feminine clothing just looks wrong on most guys. The contrast between their ruggedness and the delicate looking nature of women's clothing is too jarring to the eye. But a kilt on a guy does not look out of place somehow.
But does it turn you off. I would guess many women would see it as a non-starter for any romantic relationship. It’s an instant “no” for many I would think.
I agree. I think that is what needs to be clear, not just a neutral view. Women don’t want effeminate men for the most part... which is how it should be.
