A childhood guy friend reached out to me first during a holiday. I reached out to him a couple months after to make sure he was ok bc he had just lost his grandma.

When I text him he replied like 14 hrs later and he misspelled my name for the second time. He has spelled my name right before.. previously

I also saw that he was active twice on social media...

His reply was pleasant and he sent a white heart.. but it kind of hurt my feelings..

We kind of had some weird spots in the past and i sent a drunk text i apologized..

I don't know.. maybe its time to let the friendship go. he clearly doesn't value me as a true friend

If you feel your effort isn't being reciprocate then just stop messaging them. If you want you can just never message Jim unless he messages you. So thst way you know he's choosing to want to talk to you and not just replying for the hell of it.
