Why does he feel the need to update me about his day?

He always tells me what he ate, what video games he’s playing, what’s happening at work, what conversations he’s having. When I don’t respond, it seems like he does it more. I don’t respond sometimes and it’s just “omg this just happened” *20 minutes later* “i just ate this ___” *20 minutes later* “this weird guy just came in” Is he just bored?

I have been trying to go back to the dating scene recently. I have a very boring routine. Get up eat food, enjoy the time i have before I leave with a video game or something, go to work and go back to sleep.

For the vast majority of girls I have spoken to, this bores the shit out of them. Even when i try to take as much out of my day as conversation topics and the trips I occasionally do, they just think I'm looking for a pen pal.

My point is, I don't know how new your relationship is but I think your boyfriend is terrified at the thought of boring you so he feels the need to update you on everything.
