So i hooked up with this guy i’ve been knowing from college for a while. We were pretty decent friends. We hooked up & everything seemed great, we talked for hours after & watched movies. He even got super vulnerable & apologized about it. He also asked would I be down to do it again & I was like yeah. Then after that he just got super distant & we’re not even friends anymore.

normal for some. The vulnerability you noted is oxytocin, a bonding hormone. True at the time, then the hormone changes... underlying emotions take over again. All this is hormonal and emotional stuff... that's what you don't understand and are asking about.

my guess is he feels ashamed, in fear, unsure. who knows his psychology... clearly not you.

in general, you want to slow this process down, get commitment, build relationship. There's a reason why people used to do that.

end up pregnant with a dude that really isn't going to be there for you or that you don't really want and you are in a new and challenging world. think harder about what you are doing...

He got what he wanted and got bored. So it's on to the next conquest. It's best to move on and next time not give in too easily, if you want more. If that is what you want then go for it (only a hookup) then tell him. Some guys won't know what you want if you don't tell them.
